PERMANET is the first Sustainable REE (Rare Earth Elements) Innovation and Supply Network, designed to ensure a reliable supply of REEs and promote efficient technologies to meet EU industrial demand. It aligns with the EU Raw Materials Act, Green Deal, and European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA) initiatives.
The strategy involves three interconnected Tech Hubs that cover the entire REE supply chain: Sustainable REE Supply, Circular REE and Manufacturing and User Testing.
These Hubs are supported by a comprehensive pan-European R&D infrastructure and five Enabling Engines that facilitate the scaling, deployment, and expansion of our technology and supply capabilities. The initiative is designed within a sustainable business model to ensure growth beyond EU funding.
MNLT’s Role in the project
MNLT is contributing to the exploitation effort and assessment of the overall impact of the project through LCA, LCC and socio-economic and cost-benefit analyses.
