We were excited to take part in the DEXPLORE EU Project ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ต ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐บ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด on ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฎ๐ฒโ๐ฎ๐ณ, hosted by the project coordinator Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster | ISMC in Seville, Spain. This first in-person meeting brought all partners together to exchange insights, align on progress, and ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ.

๐ The focus of our presentation was on ๐ ๐ก๐๐งโ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฟ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ถ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป โ supporting partners in identifying, organizing, and providing the technical data needed for the upcoming environmental, economic, and social assessments.
This effort will feed into robust ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ (๐๐๐), ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด (๐๐๐), and ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ (๐ฆ๐๐๐) across the projectโs four innovation levels โ from mineral modeling to extended reality visualization.
๐งญ The meeting continued with a field visit to the Atalaya Riotinto ๐ฝ๐ถ๐น๐ผ๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ, where partners observed DEXPLOREโs cutting-edge, ๐ป๐ผ๐ป-๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ถ๐ฒ๐ in action. We also visited the Museo Minero de Riotinto, gaining insights into the regionโs mining legacy and technological evolution.
