Following the recent IT4EST M24 Consortium Meeting in Joensuu, Finland, the conversation turned into a clear message about what comes next for the project: moving proven ideas, technologies and pilot results to real deployment across Europe.
A new IT4EST press release is available, capturing the project’s progress and the next phase of its journey. IT4EST is building a connected approach to forest resilience across the full cycle, from prevention and early detection to crisis response and post-event restoration, bringing together solutions such as LiDAR and satellite monitoring, AI-enabled fire detection, UAV systems, crisis-management platforms and restoration tools in real forest environments.
The IT4EST consortium is now shifting its attention from individual pilots toward replication, exploitation and wider deployment across European regions.
At MNLT Innovations, we proudly contribute to this transition through our experience in business planning and replication strategy development, helping connect strong technical results with realistic pathways toward uptake, investment and long-term impact.
IT4EST stands out by bringing together technology providers, researchers, forest managers, authorities and civil-protection actors around one shared challenge: turning breakthrough forest technologies into a field-tested response system for prevention, early detection, intervention and post-event restoration.
