On 21 January, the THERMOFIRE CBE-JU Project consortium gathered in Turin, Italy, for the project’s M32 General Assembly, kindly hosted by our partners at Centro Ricerche Fiat – the innovation and research hub of Stellantis Group.
The meeting brought together partners for technical updates, strategic discussions and alignment on the next milestones.
🔬 Key discussions highlighted the project’s strong momentum, including progress across the three demonstrators (aerospace, automotive and textile), ongoing optimisation of the bio-based thermoplastic composites, preparation for scale-up and testing protocols in the next project phase and alignment with application-specific performance and safety standards.
MNLT Innovations was represented by Vasiliki Alexiou, actively contributing to exploitation and standardization activities, supporting early thinking around pre-normative standardisation factsheets and clearer pathways toward future market uptake of THERMOFIRE results.
A special highlight of the meeting was the visit to CRF’s laboratories, guided by Dr. Fabio Scaffidi Muta and Dr. Eugenia Oliva. Partners had the opportunity to explore the facilities, where the analysis and validation testing of bio-based thermoplastic composites for the automotive demonstrator is performed, in line with high-level internal automotive standards.
